Marie Hughey

Marie Hughey was born on Aug. 15, 1942, to Dee and Frankie (Peterson) Mickles.
She is survived by her husband, Dan; two daughters, Karla Aaron and husband Paul, and Tonya Langston and husband Dan; and one son, Kenton Hughey; six grandchildren, Brandon, Kolton, Makenzie, Alanna, Olivia and Zoe; two great-grandchildren, Dallas and Maddox; several nieces and nephews; two sisters, Yvonne and Bernice; and one brother, L Dee Mickles.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Lois and Evelyn; and one son, Danny.
Marie served in the church in many various roles, teaching Sunday School classes, Missionettes, children’s church and assisting Dan as youth leader. She taught the adult Sunday School class at Porum Assembly of God for 20 years. She planned many Easter Egg Hunts, Vacation Bible Schools, picnics, etc. Her gifts of hospitality, organization and administration were used to serve the church for over 56 years.
Services were held March 18 at Porum Assembly of God church with the Rev. Dan Langston officiating.
Burial followed at Warner Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.
Pallbearers were Clayton Corbell, JC Corbell, Ronnie Reaves, Earl Ivey, Beau Murphy and Ron Crouch.
