Margaret Porter

Margaret Emmaline (Knight) Porter of Stigler was born Jan. 20, 1926, in Leflore to Edward and Rebecca (Dobbs) Knight and passed away Nov. 4, 2018, in Stigler at the age of 92.

Margaret is survived by one son, Larry Porter and wife, Connie, of Stigler; grandsons, Tony Porter and wife, Cindye, of Broken Arrow and Trevor Porter and wife, Laurie, of Keota; granddaughter, Tammy (Porter) Phillips of Los Angeles, Calif.; great-grandsons, Christopher Porter of Broken Arrow and Hunter Porter of Tulsa; great-granddaughter, Shannon Porter of Norman; great-great-granddaughters, Haley Porter and Avery Porter of Broken Arrow; special family friends, Jodi Briggs of Stigler and Sharion Ward of Stigler; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Ray N. Porter; one son, Charles Porter; two brothers,

Albert Knight and Dennis Knight; two sisters, Ella (Knight) Burson and Bessie (Knight) Ledford; one

grandson-in-law, Mike Phillips and her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, at McCurtain Free Will Baptist Church

with the Rev. Nathaniel Craig officiating. Burial will follow in Miners Cemetery under the direction of

Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory in Stigler.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Porter, Chris Porter, Clifford Treadway, John Labor, Chris Hensley and Leo Hensley.

Viewing will be Tuesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., no viewing on Saturday, Sunday from noon to 7 p.m.
