Margaret Anderson

Margaret Sue (Lindsey) Anderson was born on May 12, 1937, in El Campo, Texas to Rev. Willis “Coots” and Lillian (Dodson) Lindsey. She lived in McCurtain, Okla. until her passing on March 13, 2021. at the age of 83.

She is survived by her children, Nelson Pollard and wife, Lucille, of Stigler, Okla., Cindy Jones and husband, Rick, of Elgin, Okla. and Deborah Moro and husband, Arthur, of Spiro, Okla.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her two sisters, Joyce Emerson and husband, Larry, of Cabot, Ark. and Reba McBride and husband, Mac, of Warner, Okla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Dorman Anderson; her parents, Coots and Lillian Lindsey; her sister, Joann Bean; and her great-grandson, Nicholas Moro.

Margaret looked forward to the Annual Hot Dog Gathering in Cabot, Ark., the Annual Mother, Daughter and Granddaughter trips around Mother’s Day, her birthday, and the family reunion for the Dodson and Lindsey families in Ardmore, Okla.

Viewing was held at Mallory Chapel in Stigler on Monday, March 15, 2021, from 1 to 7 p.m.

Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at Miner’s Cemetery with the Rev. James Dill officiating. Interment was under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.

Pallbearers were Tommy Anderson, Arthur Moro, Aaron Moro, Rick Jones and Colby Woodruff.
