Lonnie Tate, Sr.

Lonnie D. Tate, Sr. 72, passed away in Show Low, Ariz., Dec. 24, 2016, of natural causes. Lonnie was born on Sept. 4, 1944 in Keota to D.A. and Betty Tate.
Lonnie attended Keota Public Schools where he graduated in 1963. Lonnie owned and operated Grassey Lake/T-Bar until he moved to Show Low, Ariz., in December 2003 when he bought C & K Hose Co. He was respected as a business owner and loved by many friends.
Lonnie is survived by his son, Steve Tate and wife, Erlene of Stigler; two brothers, Terry Tate and Tim Tate of Casa Grande, Ariz.; beloved family, Dawn, Dawnis and Daltin of the home; four grandkids; two great-grandkids and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents, D.A. and Betty Tate; and his son, Lonnie DeTroy Tate, Jr.
Services were held Jan. 9 at Stigler First Assembly of God Church with Monty Guthrie officiating and eulogy by Brett Guthrie. Burial followed at Keota Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
Pallbearers were Caleb Baldwin, William Lawson, Brett Guthrie, Monty Guthrie, Bryan Amos and Ben Baldwin. Honorary pallbearers were Stanley Coonfield, Billy Wayne Mayfield, Joe Clyma and Harvey Mann.
