Lloyd Linton

Lloyd Cleon Linton was born in Hoyt, Okla. on Dec. 5, 1941, to Lloyd and Lorene (Walker) Linton. He passed away in Fort Smith, Ark. on Dec. 23, 2020, at the age of 79.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Linton, of the home; his children, Mark Linton and wife, Sammie, of Arkoma, Okla., David Linton and wife, Debbie, of Muse, Okla. and Lori Wheat and husband, Douglas, of Bengal, Okla.; his stepchildren, David Clinton Blythe and wife, Andrea, of Austin, Texas and Garrett Blythe and wife, Abby, of Austin, Texas; his brother, Curtis Linton and wife, Karen, of Sperry, Okla.; his sisters, Gwenda Webster and husband, Bob, of Tulsa, Okla. and Sandy Holt and husband, Jim, of Bixby, Okla.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Cleon was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Lorene Linton. 

Cleon retired as an area manager for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He was a faithful member of the Freewill Baptist Church.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2020, at Hoyt Cemetery with the Rev. Curtis Linton officiating. Interment under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.
