Linda Colwell

Linda June (Lowe) Colwell was born in Stigler, Okla. on Jan. 4, 1948, to Norman and Pocahontas (Cooper) Lowe. She passed away in Tulsa, Okla. on Aug. 4, 2021, at the age of 73.

Linda is survived by her husband of 56 years, Darryl Colwell, of the home; her son, Darryl Eugene Colwell and wife, Dianna, of Keota, Okla.; her daughters, Traci Bond and husband, Glenn, of McCurtain, Okla. and Katrina Colwell of Stigler, Okla.; her grandchildren, Ashley Colwell; Jessica Real and husband, Dustin; Amber Ellis and husband, Blake; Jacob Colwell and wife, Gail; TJ Bond and Brittany Bond; Logan Colwell and wife, Chelsey; Kaitlynn Washburn and husband, Alston; Hayden Colwell and Andrew Colwell; Davin Asbury; Kloe Asbury; and Allen Crelia; numerous great-grandchildren; her brother, Eugene Alford and wife, Thelma, of Stigler, Okla.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Norman Lowe and Pocahontas Alford; one son, Randy Colwell; one grandson, Garrett Ware; her siblings, Kenneth “Buddy” Lowe; Robert “Pug” Lowe; Katherine Harmon and James Alford.

Linda worked for many years for the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma until her retirement in 2014. She loved her Choctaw heritage and spending time with her family.

Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 9, 2021, at Keota City Cemetery with Doug Gorman officiating. Interment was under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.

Pallbearers were TJ Bond, Logan Colwell, Mitch Sutter, Alston Washburn, Rusty Lowe and Gavin Bond.

Honorary pallbearers were Andrew Colwell, Kenny Ray Harmon, Mark Davis and Jacob Colwell.
