Lillie Lavelle McKay

Lillie Lavelle (Steele) McKay was born in Brooken, on June 12, 1944, to William and Delma (Boling) Steele. She passed away in Stigler, on Jan. 3, 2020, at the age of 75.

She is survived by two daughters, Lesia Littlepage and husband, Jay, of Crowder and Cynthia McKay of Checotah; two grandchildren, Michael Rousey and wife, Sadie, of Coweta and Lilly Rivera of Tulsa; one sister, Eula Morton of Oklahoma City; one brother, Clifford Steele and wife, Billie, of Checotah.

Lillie was preceded in death by her parents, William and Delma Steele; three brothers, Thomas Steele, Charles Steele and Doyle Steele; and her husband, Carroll McKay.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020, at Mallory Chapel in Stigler with the Rev. David Bigger officiating. Interment followed at Brooken Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.

Viewing was from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. with family visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 6, 2020, at Mallory Chapel in Stigler.  

Pallbearers were Steve Edwards, Ronnie Edwards, Kevin Steele, Darren Morton, Lyndall Wilson and  Bruce Wilson.
