Lawrence Pryor

Lawrence (Larry) Pryor, 72, of Okmulgee passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
Lawrence was born in Taft, Calif., on July 21, 1944. He is preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Aolia Pryor; and one brother, Isaac Dale Pryor.
Lawrence is survived by his wife, Julie of the home; two step daughters, Christie Nelson, of Morris, Jamie Hammon and husband, B.J. of Okmulgee; one son, Larry Pryor and wife, Angela of The Colony, Texas; five grandchildren, Tyler Claborn, Noah and Dylan Hammon, and Kaitlyn and Grayson Pryor; two sisters, Janet and husband, Leroy Blan of Tulsa, Elaine and husband, Womaluke Cox of Porum; three brothers, Bill and wife, Elaine Pryor of Pamona Park, Fla.; Virle and wife, Judy Pryor of Porum, Glen Pryor of Claremore; step mother, Billie Jo Pryor of Porum; two brothers-in-law, Richard Hankins and Steve Hankins; five sisters-in-law, Donna Hessom, Elaine Taylor, Becky Bailey, Rhonda Bernard and Audra Britt; many nieces and nephews.
While attending Bacone College, Larry played baseball for the college. He went on to graduate from NSU with a bachelor of science in business administration, which he used to found his oilfield business of RPI in Okmulgee.
He was a member of the Okmulgee Masonic Lodge #199 and the Okmulgee Elks Lodge.
The greatest memory he leaves is his love for family and friends.
Services were held July 17 at Schaudt’s Okmulgee Funeral Service Chapel, 220 S Alabama, Okmulgee with Gary Volz officiating.
Masonic Rites are performed by his fellow Masons of the Okmulgee Masonic Lodge #199.
