Kyle Payton

Kyle Lee Payton was born in Tahlequah on Feb. 6, 1990, to Robert and Tabitha Lee (Green) Payton. He passed away in Spiro on Oct. 3, 2020, at the age of 30.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Tabitha Payton and Adam Birchfield, of Spiro; his brothers, Alexander Payton and fiancée, Elizabeth Amos, of Quinton, Christopher Payton of Sioux City, Iowa, Tyler Dry of Stigler, James Dial of Fort Smith, Ark. and Jason Birchfield and wife, Cherokee, of Spiro; one sister, Brittany Payton and companion, Alexis Haynes, of Fort Smith, Ark.; his grandfather, Billy Green, Sr. of Stigler; his grandmother, Patricia Clinton of Mississippi; his uncles, Joseph Green and wife, Tina, of Sapulpa, Rocky Green of Stigler, Billy Green, Jr. of Fort Smith, Ark. and Gary Payton of Stigler; his aunt, Carolyn Oetting of Stigler; two nephews, Jaxson Payton and Owen Birchfield; one niece, Zaylee Payton; and numerous cousins.

Kyle was preceded in death by his father, Robert Payton; his grandmother, Carnelia Green; his stepgrandmother, Luetta Payton; and his grandfather, Robert E. Payton.

Viewing was held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 5; and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 6 and 7, at Mallory Chapel in Stigler.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8 at Stigler City Cemetery with the Rev. Heath Cole officiating. Interment under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.

Pallbearers are Billy Green, Sr., Joseph Green, Adam Birchfield, Tyler Dry, James Dial and Jason Birchfield.
