Kerisa Spears

Kerisa Lois Spears, 44, of Stigler passed away Monday, March 6, 2017, at OSU Medical Center in Tulsa. She was born April 29, 1972, in Stigler to Ronnie and Carolyn (Johnson) Permenter.
Kerisa grew up in Stigler and graduated at Stigler High School. She received her bachelors of science degree at Northeastern in family consumer science. She was a strong advocate against domestic violence and she loved her job at Ki Bois. Her hobbies included crocheting, reading, fishing, sewing, playing computer games and visiting with family and friends. She loved pink roses, loved her dog, Zeus and her cat, Slate. Kerisa loved her family and friends. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her. She was a member of The Well Church.
Kerisa is survived by her husband, Tyrone Spears of the home; her two sons, Preston of the home and Steven and girlfriend, Jordan Ashtin of Briartown; her daughter, Heather of Stigler; her brother Ray Permenter and girlfriend, Shelbi of Hinton; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Hester Spears of Stigler; dear friends, Mike and Chellee Burson of Windsor, Colo.; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
Kerisa was preceded in death by her parents, Ron and Carolyn Permenter and her grandparents, Leslie and Kathryn Johnson, Raymond and Elsie Permenter.
Services were held March 10 at The Well Church with Pastor Daniel Smith officiating. Eulogist, Amy Smith. Burial followed to Sans Bois Cemetery at Kinta under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home in Stigler.
Pallbearers were Tanner Spears, Andrew Spears, Greg Spears, David Spears, Kendall Spears and Mike Burson. Honorary pallbearers were her children, Heather, Steven and Preston; her family, Linton and Heather Gorman and family; Chellee Burson; Jets Baseball Team; and Tom Miller.
