Kenneth Dale Taylor, 69, of Muskogee, passed away Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021, at his home. He was born April 4, 1951, in Fort Riley, Kan. to Billy J. and Jewell (Salyards) Taylor.

Kenneth loved fast cars and motorcycles, and he loved fishing. He graduated from Copperas Cove High School and he joined the United States Army and served 20 years. He was an outstanding soldier. He became a registered nurse after his service and worked in the medical field until his retirement. He was a highly intelligent man who was the best at every endeavor he attempted.

Kenneth is survived by his mother, Jewell Taylor of Stigler; two brothers, Tommy Lee Taylor of Stigler and Michael Joe Taylor of Briartown; a nephew, Kenneth Michael Taylor of Stigler; two great-nieces, Kaydance Jewell and Khaleesi Moon; and a very special friend, Major Richard Hix. They were neighbors and fishing buddies.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, Billy Taylor.

Funeral service was at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021, in the R.E. Shearwood Memorial Chapel with the  Rev. Jack Sloan officiating. Pallbearers included John Turnball, Blaine Sappington and Michael E. Taylor.

Burial followed in Antioch Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
