Judy Carol Strain, 69, of Quinton, passed away Monday May 28, 2018, at Saint John Hospital in Tulsa. She was born March 5, 1949, in West Liberty to John and Leola (Seabolt) Mills.
Judy went to school in Quinton. She married Stanford Strain on July 30, 1965, and they made their home in West Liberty for 52 years. She loved working outside in the yard, enjoyed fishing, but most of all, she adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Enterprise Baptist Church and loved her church family.
Judy is survived by her three children, Stan Strain and wife, Lizzie, of West Liberty, Brad Strain and wife, Shelly, of Enterprise, Julie Pryor and husband, Dewayne, of Russellville; her nine grandchildren, Chris, Cassandra, Clint, David, Ty, Jake, Hannah, Dillon and Bradley; nine great-grandchildren, Colton, Bentleigh, Landon, Claire, Hadley, MiKayla, Chloe, Haidyn and Lincoln; her two sisters, Phyllis Eakle and husband, Jim, of West Liberty, Kay McKee of West Liberty; a brother-in-law, Coy Few of East Liberty.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Leola Mills; her husband, Stanford Strain; two sisters, Glenda Few, Johnia Lee Wren; two brothers-in-law, Billy Gene McKee and Bud Wren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2018, at West Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Chappell officiating. Pallbearers included Stan Strain, Brad Strain, Butch Strain, Terry Strain, Wade Mathis and Dewayne Pryor. Honorary pallbearers included grandchildren, Chris, David, Clint, Ty Bradley, Jake, Dillon, Cassandra and Hannah.
Burial followed at West Liberty Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
