Johnny Wright

Johnny Dale Wright was born on March 16, 1954, in Checotah to Jessie and Mary Clarie (Taylor) Wright. He passed away on Jan. 9, 2019, in Muskogee at the age of 64.

He is survived by four brothers, Jimmy Wright and wife, Linda, of Porum, Bobby Wright and wife, Caroline, of Porum, Stephen Wright and wife, Roberta, of Porum and David Wright and wife, Karen, of Porum; five sisters, Joyce Johnston and husband, John, of Eufaula, Katherine Barnes of Porum, Charlotte Dill and husband, Ray, of Porum, Darlene Lane and husband, Robert, of Eufaula and Wanda Johnson and husband, Frank, of Siloam Springs, Ark.; three sisters-in-law, Connie Wright of Porum, Mary Jo Wright of Porum and Juanita Wright of Checotah and four stepdaughters, Amanda Wells of Fort Smith, Ark., Michelle Wells of Whitefield, Cammy Farrar of Webber Falls and Mindy McCutchen of Muskogee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Clarie Wright; five brothers, Eldon Wright, Leon Wright, Jay Wright, James Wright and Joe Wright; one baby sister, Carolyn Wright and one stepson, Joseph Wells.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019, at Porum Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Wayne Lindsey officiating. Interment followed at Coleman Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.

Viewing was held at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Porum from 1 to 7 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, from 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, Jan. 14, 2019.

Pallbearers were Jessie Lee Wright, Owen Peters, Roy Lane, Raymond Barnes, James Lane, Stanley Haggard, Michael Wright and Hayden Wright.

Honorary pallbearers were Lee Wright, Randy Wright, Preston Wright, Carl Wright, Charlie Wright, Elijah Wright, Jimmy Barnes, Bobby Lane, Timmy Lane, Ricky Haggard, Joshua Wright, David Ray Wright, Raybert Downing and John D. Wright.
