John Marshel Lindsey

John Marshel Lindsey was born in Walsenburg, Colorado on April 2, 1944 to William and Lota Bess (Long) Lindsey. He passed away in Claremore, Oklahoma on November 6, 2021 at the age of 77.

He is survived by his son, John Lindsey and wife, Michelle, of Checotah, OK; his daughters, Marsa Kash and husband, Mike, of Claremore, OK, Shiela Wooten and husband, James, of Braggs, OK; his stepsons, Clark Bruner of Keota, OK, Monty Bruner and wife, Angie, of Stillwater, OK; his grandchildren, John Lindsey, Jr. of Muskogee, OK, Jared Lindsey of Anchorage, AK, Amanda Lindsey of Mozula, MT, Amelia Lindsey of Muskogee, OK, Kaitlyn Mills and husband, Brian, of Claremore, OK, Jacob Kash of Claremore, OK, Randall Thomas and wife, Vanessa, of Cowlington, OK, Erin Bruner of Tahlequah, OK, Lucas Bruner of Keota, OK, Vinney Sitterly of Omaha, NE, Flint Bruner of Stillwater, OK, Jasper Bruner, of Stillwater, OK, Steven Brown of Checotah, OK, Levi Brown of Checotah, OK, Amanda Brown of Checotah, OK, Rebecca Hyde of Shawnee, OK, Jodie Wooten of Porum, OK; two great grandsons, Remi and Ryan Thomas of Cowlington, OK; countless nieces and nephews that loved him like a father; two cousins, Harold Hefner and wife, Betty, of Russellville, AR, Hazel Staggs and husband, Jim, of Russellville, AR

John was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Lindsey; his wife, Anna Lindsey; his parents, Bill and Bess Lindsey; stepdaughter and her husband, Angie Bruner and Mark Osburn; his granddaughter, Kristen Kash; his nephew, Gary Johnston; his siblings, Frank Lindsey and his wife, Barbara, Ruth Standifer and her husband, Scottie, Ruby Johnston and her husband, Lealon; and his cousin, J.W. Hefner.

Viewing will be held at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Stigler from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 8; from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 9; from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with family visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 10; and from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 11.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Heavenly Hope Church in Porum with Rev. Wayne Lindsey officiating. Interment will follow at Twin Grove Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.

Pallbearers are Jacob Kash, Brian Mills, Randall Thomas, Dason Lindsey, Michael Olds, Michael John Standifer.

Honorary pallbearers are Lucas Bruner, Jeff Olds, Jeff Gaxiola, Cody Gaxiola, Steven Starkey, Andy White.
