Jimmy ‘Buddy’ McCarroll

Jimmie Jewell McCarroll (Buddy) was born in Damon Valley on Aug. 1, 1937, to Jim and Beatrice (Hulvey) McCarroll. He went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 22, 2020, at the age of 83. 

He is survived by, his daughter, Mary Bush and husband, Larry, of Kinta; two sons, Jimmie D. McCarroll of Elk City and Paul A. McCarroll and wife, Charlott (Peanuts), of Hartshorne; two brothers, Kenny McCarroll of Hartshorne and Rickey McCarroll of Stigler; two sisters, Sharon K. Gist of Stigler and Minnie Thomas of Wilburton; his grandchildren, Misty D. Masters and husband, Ricky, of Stigler, April D. Norton of Gowen, Dustin L. Bush and wife, Kourtney, of Onapa and Jon Haskins and wife, Monica, of Hartshorne; his great-grandkids, Jessica D. Raines and husband, Dennis, of Quinton, Dalton Masters and wife, Lacy, of Kinta, Devon Norton of Gowen, Dakota Bush of Onapa, Dusty G. Bush of Canadian, Pharah Sampleton of Oklahoma City, Anthony Haskins of Hartshorne and Elizabeth, Shekinah, Keona and Maddie Bush of Onapa; his great-great grandkids, Gunner, Kimber, Wyatt, Gentry, Charley Grace, Daxen, Landon, Aria, Brendalyn and King; and several nieces and nephews.

Buddy was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy McCarroll; his parents, Jim and Beatrice McCarroll; two brothers, Lloyd Dewayne McCarroll and Floyd Dewayne McCarroll; and one great-grandson, Stephen Haskins.

Viewing was held at Mallory Chapel in Stigler from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 24 and from 8 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Nov. 25.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020, at Mallory Chapel in Stigler with the Rev. John Parish officiating. Interment followed at Stigler City Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.

Pallbearers were Larry Bush, Rickey Masters, Dakota Bush, Dustin Bush, Dalton Masters, Dennis Raines, Chuck Bush and Jon Haskins.
