Jeremy Hensley

Jeremy Lee Hensley was born in Poteau on November 10, 1971, to Leo and Violet (Moschner) Hensley. He passed away in Fairfax, Va. on April 23, 2019, at the age of 47.

He is survived by his parents, Leo and Violet Hensley of McCurtain; one sister, Angie Hensley of McCurtain; one brother, Chris and wife, Deana Hensley, of McCurtain; nephews, Terric Hensley of McCurtain and Trenton Spears of McCurtain; nieces, Brooklyn Spears of McCurtain, Paige Dill and husband, Dillion, of McCurtain, Madison Spears of Tahlequah and Chloe Spears of McCurtain; his grandmother, Beverly Hensley of Marble City; his uncles, Jim Hensley of Marble City, Virgil Hensley of Tamaha, Charles Hensley and wife, Charlotte, of Sallisaw and Carmen Hensley of Brushy Mountain; his aunts, Kathy Biggs and husband, Jim, of Sallisaw, Blondie Barker and husband, Dewayne, of Brushy Mountain, Wanda Christy of McCurtain, Linda Evans of Poteau, Elizabeth Davis of Heavener and Anna Ethridge of McCurtain; his cousins, Bonnie Mouse, Misty Durham, Michael Durham, Thomas Christy, Jeannie McConnell, John Pitchford, Eugene Pitchford, Maria Evans, Amanda Anderson, Terrie Anderson, Jimmy Thomas, Joshua Ethridge, Annalisa Ethridge, David Ethridge, and Jason Ethridge and special friends, Loyd and June Mayhall of McCurtain.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jim Hensley; his maternal grandparents, Henry and Belle Moschner; two uncles, David Hensley and Kenneth Hensley and one cousin, Daniel Durham.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at Mallory Chapel in Stigler with the Rev. Vernon Stone officiating, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.

Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Bowden, Tracy Dill, Jason Petty, Eddie Cooper, John Crelia, Tommy Christy and Donnie Mayhall.
