Jennifer Burke

Jennifer Ann Burke, 35, of San Antonio, passed away Dec. 26, 2016. She was born in El Reno, Nov. 18, 1981.   
Jennifer graduated from Taft High School in San Antonio, Texas in 2000. Jennifer also attended UTSA after high school, majoring in elementary education.
Jennifer had a lifelong passion for teaching and enjoyed children. As a student in college, she had the opportunity to substitute teach and work for child care centers in her free time. In high school, Jennifer was a member of the ROTC program and the Taft Pep Squad. Jennifer had many hobbies, including reading, making jewelry and painting.
She was survived by her mother, Phyllis Matias Burke and her husband Eddie Matias; her father, Max Burke and his wife Cindy Burke; and her brother, Alexander Burke.
Services were held Dec. 30 at Stigler Assembly of God Church of Stigler.  Interment followed at Brooken Cemetery in Stigler.
