Jeffrey ‘Mike’ Curran

Jeffrey Michael “Mike” Curran was born in Henryetta on Aug. 26, 1966, to Meryl and Marie (Shipman) Curran. He passed away in Stigler on May 5, 2019, at the age of 52.

He is survived by his wife, Sissy of the home; three sons, Michael Blaylock of Fort Gibson, Dakota Blaylock of the home and Jade Blaylock of the home; one daughter, Karry Christy and husband, Stephen, of McCurtain; one grandson, Marcus “Dutch” Christy; one granddaughter, Breonna Bryce; two brothers, Bill Jones of Colorado and Johnathan Jones of Kansas; one sister, Karen Johnson of Fayetteville, Ark. and special nephew, Derek Baker of Stigler.

Mike was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Joe Cox; a sister-in-law, Brinda Baker and a brother-in-law, Robert Brassfield.

Mike was an avid University of Oklahoma fan, as well as the Dallas Cowboys. He truly loved to watch Dakota, Jade and Marcus play baseball. 

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at Old Panther Cemetery in McCurtain with the Rev. Doug Smith officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.

Viewing was at Mallory Chapel in Stigler from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 7 and 8, 2019.

Pallbearers include Tommy Christy, Brian Christy, Derek Baker, Danny Cox, Michael Decker and Justin Baker.

Honorary pallbearers include Brad, Mark, Kevin, Jeffery and Tony.
