J.D. Snow

J.D. Snow of Stigler was born Oct. 4, 1927, in Stigler to William and Virgie (Thorn) Snow. He passed away on Sept. 10, 2018, in Fort Smith, Ark. at the age of 90.

He was raised by James E. Smith and Annie Snow Smith. He married Wanda Lee Bidwell on Feb. 10, 1949.

J.D. is survived by children, Gloria and Gary Mancilas of California, Debbie and Steve Kirk of Spiro and Jeannetta and Darren Duvall of Enterprise; grandchildren, Gary Dean Mancillas of California, Melanie McAfee and husband, Scott, of California, Johnny Runyon and wife, Teresa, of Stigler, Misty Allen and husband, Wesley, of Spiro, Jessica Dill and husband, Travis, of McCurtain, Blain Blaylock and wife, Jacki of McCurtain, Tray Blaylock and wife, Tori, of McCurtain, Hannah Goins and husband, Dow, of Stigler and Cynthia Jackson of Texas; great-grandchildren, Jeremy Runyon, Camdyn Runyon, Blayke Runyon, Brooklyn Allen, Cody Allen, Daltyn Allen, Eastyn Allen, Trenton Dill, Traceton Dill, Trevon Dill, Ridgley Dill, Riverli Dill, Kentsli Blaylock, Zabri Blaylock, Rowan Blaylock, Addalyn Goins and Grayer Goins

J.D. was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda; daughter, Sherri Jackson; brothers, Leroy Snow, Otis Snow, Sidney Smith and Lee Smith and sisters, Bessie Riddle, Jewel Trickett, Dorothy Nidday, Lorene France, Wilma Roberts, Emma Scott and Lora Kimes.

Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018, at Garland Cemetery with the Rev. Howard Head and Blain Blaylock officiating. Burial followed.

Pallbearers were Johnny Runyon, Dow Goins, Blain Blaylock, Tray Blaylock, Travis Dill and Darren Duvall.

Viewing was Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m.

Services were entrusted to Mallory – Martin Funeral Home in Stigler.
