James Cravens Sr.

James Kenneth Cravens Sr. of Keota was born May 14, 1931, in Keota to Elmer and Ollie Jane (Davis) Cravens and passed away Dec. 17, 2018, in Stigler at the age of 87.

James is survived by two daughters, Donna Williamson and husband, Lloyd, of Battle Creek, Mich. and Charlotte Whitton and husband, Gary Mark, of Canton, Texas; one sister, Nora Johnson of Keota; 11 grandchildren;  17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and three stepsons, Jim Eakle and wife, Phyllis, of Quinton, Roger Eakle and wife, Judy, of Whitefield and Michael Eakle and wife, Barbara, of Quinton.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Ollie Cravens; one son, James Kenneth Cravens, Jr.; one daughter, Linda French; five sisters, Hettie, Sug, Lucille, Ethel and Freda and one brother, Sam.

James was a retired dozer operator, and loved gardening and fishing.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, 2018, at Mallory Chapel with the Rev. Mike Bunch officiating. 

Burial will follow in West Liberty Cemetery under the direction of the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory in Stigler.

Viewing was at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home on Tuesday, Dec. 18, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 19, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
