James Antley

James Edward Antley was born in Lufkin, Texas May 24, 1959, and he was the son of James and Wanda Lee Antley. James passed away on Dec. 7, 2020, in Crockett, Texas.

James worked as a logger in the woods and gained a love for hunting and the quietness of the woods was relaxing. He enjoyed fishing on the lake when he got the chance to get away. He was a welder, and friends and family called on him to repair many things made of iron. All the children called him “Crakerman.”

James was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Lee Cooper, and his wife, Mary Archer Antley.

James is survived by his children, Angela Kay Reden and husband, Johnny, Keith Edward Antley, stepdaughter, Valerie Berry and husband, Matt and stepson, Rodney Sandes; grandchildren, Brook Peden, Carmen Peden, CeCe Peden and Owen Sanders; mother of his children, Debra Kay Antley; biological father, James Antley and wife, Julie; father, Pops Thomas Cooper (Chief); sisters, Alicia Holley and husband, Jim, Susie Reynolds and husband, Ron, Tammy Robrecht and husband, Mike, Teresa Boike and husband, Dan, Tina Bullock and husband, Tim, and Serina Seelye and husband, Robert; brothers, DeWayne Cooper and David Antley; special nieces, Robyn Haubold, Bailey Cooper, Brooke Cooper and Brittany Cooper; and nephews, Jarrod Holley and Brian Reynolds. Numerous other relatives also survive.
