Jack Taylor Stewart was born in Lamont, Calif. on Aug. 2, 1954, to Ruel and Wuanita Stewart. He passed away in Iron Station, N.C. on May 27, 2020, at the age of 65.

He is survived by his children, Lisa Glover and husband, Gerald, of Iron Station, N.C., Jasen Stewart and wife, Tausha, of Monroe, N.C.; his granddaughter, Taylor Ann Glover of Iron Station, N.C.; one brother, Charles Stewart of Porum; five sisters, Brenda Laplante and husband, David, of Stigler, Darlene Copeland and husband, John, of Nuevo, Calif., Linda Beckner and husband, Glen, of Hornbrook, Calif., Lydia Love and husband, Chuck, of Webber Falls and Bonnie Massengale and husband, Tom, of Howe and 85 plus nieces and nephews.

Jack was preceded in death by parents, Ruel and Wuanita Stewart.

Jack grew up in Nuevo, Calif., where he also raised his children. He worked driving a truck for Smith Farms for 30 years. In 2001, he moved to Oklahoma, where he drove a truck for Wilkett Trucking and Bumpers Trucking.  

Jack loved to fish. He was a huge sports fan.....huge!! If there was a game on television, he was watching it. He loved to go to baseball games... especially going to watch his niece, Heather, and his nephew, Eric, as they played ball for Stigler Panthers. He loved to watch NASCAR. Jack was a HUGE OU fan.

The thing Jack loved most in life was his family. His favorite holiday was the 4th of July family reunion.  

After his health began to decline, he moved to North Carolina with his daughter, Lisa, so he could spend time with his heart and soul, his granddaughter, Taylor, who was named after him.

A celebration of life will be held on July 3, 2020, at 2 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church in Stigler with Mike Bush officiating.
