Ida Pearl Lovelace

Ida Pearl (Carter) Lovelace was born May 27, 1937, to Paul Manual and O’Nelia Carter in Lewisville.
She was one of 13 siblings.
Known by Pearl to her family and friends, she was a natural born leader and maintained that role throughout her life.
Pearl was raised and received her education in Lewisville.
She was baptized early in her life and became an active member of Harris Chapel Baptist Church. Her conviction in her Lord will remain a strong foundation to her family as they continue through life with hope of seeing her again.
Pearl married Walter Lovelace and entered the workforce to provide for her nine children and special nephew Larry Wilson. She was employed by Haskell County Hospital in the kitchen for 20 years. After her season at the hospital, she began to work at Kinta School where she began her longtime friendship with her dear friend, Wanda McClary. Pearl enjoyed seeing many of her grandchildren at school and was well-known by the students, and staff to which she will leave many memories.
Pearl used her talents to work for the Lord. She reigned as the church secretary for numerous years and was active in her district until her health began to waiver. Pearl trained young members of the church to assume her responsibilities. She worked in the kitchen of Harris Chapel, held office as Mission Secretary of Central Wayland District and served on the community committee until her departure. Her spirit, meals and work ethic will be missed by all.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories four sons, Larry Mills, Arnold (Montenette) Walters, Erwin Walters (Donna), and Marcus Walters (Anette) of Lewisville; and four daughters,  Ann (Charles) Lovelace-Woodridge of Lewisville, Rhoda (Earley Jr.) Woodmore and Myra Lovelace of McAlester, and Cora (Stephen) Johnson of Stigler; sisters, Rosalee Mitchim Tabor of San Diego, Calif., Cora Brown of Kansas City Mo.; and brothers, Clyde (Linda) Carter of Kansas City, Mo., and Clayton Carter (Eddiemae) of San Bernardino, Calif.; grandchildren, Keyco (Brandy), CC (Cecilia) Kim (Brandon), Patricia (Larry), Marcus Darren, Earl, Calvin (Valerie), Travis, Marco, Amber, Danielle, Aaron, Special, Mark, Harley, Idayshia and Becky; 22 great-grandchildren; special nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and extended family.
