Houston Baker, Jr.

Houston Baker, Jr. was born in Lodi, on Aug. 13, 1945, to Houston and Melvina (Colbert) Baker. He passed away in Stigler, on June 11, 2020, at the age of 74.

He is survived by his daughters, Tamara Baker, Victoria Baker and Tina Maxwell; his son, Jeremy Kemp; his grandchildren, Jose Gonzalez, Lorenzo Gonzalez, Triston Gonzalez, Juanita Gonzalez, Jennifer Henry, Ly Baker, Houston Ezekiel Gonzalez, Olivia Gonzalez and Aaliyah Miller and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephew. 

Houston was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Maxwell; the mother of his children, Cecilia Baker; his parents, Houston and Melvina Baker; his daughter, Monette Cheryl Baker and his granddaughter, Torie R. Baker.

A celebration of life service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2020, at Bethel Indian Church in Stigler.
