Harold Barton

Harold Lloyd Barton was born Dec. 22, 1925, in Texanna, the son of John Thomas and Susan Jane (Headrick) Barton. He completed this life on Friday, May 25, 2018, in Oklahoma City at the age of 92.
Harold served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He began his career in the insurance industry in 1954. He founded Barton Insurance Marketing working with over 10,000 agents during his career.
He married Betty Jean Franks on June 7, 1947, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years on Feb. 7, 2002. He was also preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Leonard and Jack Barton.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Brothers and her husband, Robert, of Austin, Texas; his son, Bruce Barton of Oklahoma City; his grandchildren, Lindsay Barton of Oklahoma City, Daniel Brothers and his wife, Shannon, of Pawleys Island, S.C., Susannah Hollinger and her husband, Michael, of Austin, Texas, Mathew Brothers and his wife, Sherry, of Arlington, Texas, and David Brothers and his wife, Asha, of Portland, Ore.; his great-grandchildren, Viviane Brothers, Caroline Brothers, Kayla Hollinger, Liliana Hollinger, Robert Julian Singh Brothers, Shay Doshi and Anika Doshi.
Memorial services will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, June 2 in the First Presbyterian Church Chapel, 1001 NW 25th, Oklahoma City. A private family interment will be made in Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
