Glenn ‘Sonny’ Muncy

Glenn “Sonny” Muncy of Keota was born Aug. 26, 1938, in Keota to Oliver and Lela (Moore) Muncy. He passed away on June 18, 2018, in Tulsa at the age of 79.
He is survived by sister, Charlynne Shaw of Keota; seven nephews, Gary Shaw and wife, Marianne, of Tulsa, Keith Lashley and wife, Jackie, of Keota, Alan Lashley and wife, Vonda, of Keota, Mark Lashley of Keota, Kevin Lashley and wife, Linda, of Spiro, Kent Lashley and wife, Paula, of Gunter, Texas, Wesley Lashley and wife, Heather, of Pocola; four nieces, Kay Monroe and husband, Rick, of Pocola, Gail Wilson and husband, Bob, of Nevada, Mo., Karla Cooper and husband, Kelly, of Poteau, Sharon Lashley of Keota; numerous great nieces and nephews
Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Lela Muncy; two sisters, Jane Lashley and twin sister, Glenda Muncy; and his niece, Toni Sue Harp.
Funeral services will be held at  2 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at Mallory Chapel in Stigler with the Rev. Brandon Mooneyham officiating. Burial will follow at Keota Cemetery in Keota.
Viewing was from 3 to 8 pm Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at Mallory Chapel in Keota and 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at Mallory Chapel in Stigler.
Active pallbearers will be Gary Shaw, Keith Lashley, Alan Lashley, Mark Lashley, Kevin Lashley, Kent Lashley and Wesley Lashley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Ross, Herb Owens, Gary Rowland and Sammy Seyler.
