Glenda Fletcher

Glenda Sue Fletcher, 80, of Skiatook, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018, at her home. She was born in Stigler, June 28, 1937, to George W. and Mae Ledbetter. Most people knew her as “Wendy” growing up in Stigler and Whitefield. She graduated from Stigler High School in 1955. She spent most of her life in Tulsa, where she had her own business. She was the first female Automotive Service Adviser in Oklahoma. She retired and moved back to Whitefield, where she enjoyed many years before her health caused her to move closer to family.
Glenda is survived by her three children, Sheree Jordan and husband, Kevin, Mark Fletcher and wife, Christi, Tim Fletcher and wife, Laurie. She loved her eight grandchildren, Taylor, Marca, Steven, Clint, Eddie, Melissa, Matt and Michael; she was absolutely smitten by her eight great-grandchildren; and her two sisters, Jackie Lane and Elnora Frazier.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mae Ledbetter; four brothers; five sisters; and a granddaughter.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at R.E. Shearwood Memorial Chapel with Mr. Dillon Jarrett officiating.
Pallbearers included Steven Fletcher, Eddie Edwards, Clint Edwards, Jeremy Wells, Jacob Wright, Michael Fletcher and Matt Fletcher.
Burial followed to Whitefield Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home in Stigler.
