Faye McDonald

Faye McDonald, 78, of Kinta, passed away Friday, Sept. 25, 2020 at her home. She was born March 10, 1942, in Quinton to Lusios and Ruth (Mathis) Ford. She grew up in Quinton where she received her education. Faye married Raymond McDonald on May 2, 1958, and they made their home in Kinta. She worked hard for many years as a caregiver for Quinton Nursing Home and also worked for Haskell County Hospital for years. Faye loved quilting, gardening, flowers and her dog, Sammy. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Faye is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Sherry McDonald of Quinton; her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Allan Doby of Kinta; her four grandchildren and spouses, Mandi and Brandon Johnson, Jensen and Brittney Doby, Chad and Elizabeth McDonald, and Aaron and Bobbie Doby; eight great-grandchildren, Logan, Kolt, Drake, Deke, Jaycee, Dixie, Hunter and Averie; her brother, Mark Ford of Gowen; her sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Rob Reece of Webbers Falls.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Lusios and Ruth Ford; her stepmother, Levet Ford; her husband, Raymond McDonald; three brothers, Tom, Jerry and Terry Ford; and a sister, Glennis Brown.

Graveside service was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020 in Quinton Cemetery with the Rev. Luther Brown officiating. Eulogist was Mr. Robert Carney. Pallbearers included Chad McDonald, Jensen Doby, Aaron Doby, Tommy Ford, James Brown and Doug McDonald.

Burial followed immediately under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
