Eulis McKibben

Eulis McKibben, 84, of Beaver Mountain, passed away Monday, April 22, 2019, at his home. He was born Aug. 22, 1934, on Beaver Mountain to Floyd and LaTisha (Smith) McKibben.

Eulis grew up at Beaver Mountain, where he was educated. He served his country in the Air Force for four years, serving two in Alaska. He married Virginia Coffman and they made their home in Oklahoma City. He began his working career as a truck driver for Dolese. They moved to Beaver Mountain in the early 1960s, where they built their home and raised their family. He became a rock mason and was known for building and being an expert rock mason. He loved raising cattle, enjoyed the outdoors and loved hunting and fishing, playing his guitar and building fiddles.

Eulis is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Virginia Helen McKibben of the home; two daughters, Pamela Wood and husband, Doyle, and Karen Mullins and husband, Tommy; four sons, Lyle McKibben, Colin McKibben and wife, Tammy, Lyndell McKibben and Randell McKibben and wife, Brandi; 13 grandchildren, John David Sacker and wife, Sallie, Aaron Mullins and wife, Ashley, Melissa Mullins, Ashton McKibben, Tyler McKibben, Sarah McKibben, Andy Duvall and wife, Alyssa, Kendell McKibben, Kylie McKibben, Danilyn McKibben, Jase McKibben, Malori McKibben and Owen McKibben; three great-grandchildren, Jake Mullins, Myles Owen McKibben and Andi Duvall; three sisters, Freda Spears, Janice Rea and Sandra Cesar and a brother, Wallace McKibben and wife, Kathleen.

Eulis was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and LaTisha McKibben; an infant son; a brother, James McKibben and a sister, Dorothy Griffin.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2019, at Sand Ridge Pentecostal Church. Pallbearers include his grandsons, Aaron Mullins, Ashton McKibben, Tyler McKibben, Kendell McKibben, Andy Duvall and Owen McKibben.

Honorary pallbearers include John David Sacker, J.W. Pilgrim and Wallace McKibben.

Burial will follow in Mountain Home Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
