Etta Davis

Etta Faye Davis of Stigler was born Nov. 23, 1930, in Rhome, Texas to Frank and Mamie (Hight) Keeter. She passed away on March 28, 2018, in Stigler at the age of 87.
She is survived by her husband, Austin, of the home; son, Ron Davis and wife, Shelly, of Stigler; three granddaughters, Melanie Jacks and husband, Jared, of Little Rock, Ark., Megan Davis of Fort Smith, Ark., Morgan Davis of Fort Smith, Ark.; one brother, Robert Earl Keeter of Arlington, Texas; one sister, Theo Coleman of New Braunfels, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and relatives.
Etta was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mamie Keeter; siblings, Weldon, Opal, Bessie, Truit, Dorthy, Marie, Howard, Estelle, Gilbert, Clinton and Carlas.
Etta was a member of Stigler First Baptist Church. She enjoyed camping, gardening and spending time with her family.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018, at Stigler First Baptist Church with  the Rev. Daniel Milligan officiating. Burial followed at Stigler Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dr. Stephen Woodson, Johnny Parsons, Coy Mike Few, Jimmy Echelle and Tony Gilmore.
Honorary pallbearers were Wes Shelton, Keith Fields, Greg Parsons, Wayne Jones and Gordon  Highfill.
Viewing was Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Services were entrusted to Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Stigler.
