Erma Bilyeu

Erma Jean (Wilson) Bilyeu was born in Keota, Okla. on March 14, 1936, to Riley and Dema (McElroy) Wilson. She passed away in Fort Smith, Ark. on Jan. 3, 2021, at the age of 84.

She is survived by her son, Larry Bilyeu and wife, Debbie, of Greenwood, Ark.; her daughter, Lana Pence and husband, Bill, of Barling, Ark.; her sister, Barbara Wilson of Tulsa, Okla.; her sister-in-law, Lana Carol Wilson of Tulsa, Okla.; her grandchildren, Angie Maxwell of Tulsa, Okla., Jeremiah Maxwell and wife, Kendra, of Pocola, Okla., and Charity Fingerhut and husband, Colby, of Pea Ridge, Ark.; and her great-grandchildren, Maci Maxwell, Bryar Bilyeu and Callen Fingerhut.

Erma was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Bilyeu; her parents, Riley and Dema Wilson; her brother, Bobby Wilson; and her grandson, Jonathan Bilyeu.

Erma was a member of the Church of Christ and retired as a ward clerk from Sparks Regional Medical Center. She loved spending time with her family.

A private family graveside service was held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021, at Keota City Cemetery with the Rev. Ronnie Deal. Interment under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Gideon Bibles in Erma’s name.
