Elisabeth Elaine (Sexton) Lietch was born June 17, 1954, in Blackwell to Charles and Mary (Norris) Sexton. She passed away on Nov. 22, 2020 in Enid at the age of 66.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Sexton of Porum; her sisters, Vickie Hertz and husband, David, of Broken Bow, Becky Arteaga and husband, Jose, of Blackwell and Dorita Sexton of Porum; her nieces and nephews whom she loved like her own children, Tommy Joe Hertz and wife, Emily, of Porum, James Hertz and wife, Amber, of Broken Bow, Latisha Arteaga of Stillwater, Danielle Peterson and husband, Caleb, of Blackwell, Bridgett Olson and husband, Tyler, of Broken Bow, Charles Arteaga of Blackwell, Kyson, Haskell, Colter, Emersyn, Ethan and Ella Hertz and Ellie and Camden Peterson; her daughter, DeeAnna and grandchildren; and a  host of family and friends.

Elaine got saved as a very young girl. She graduated as Salutatorian from the 1972 class of Porum High School. In college, she was the treasurer of Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Fraternity. She was selected as an “Outstanding Young Woman of America” and was named “Who’s Who Among Students.” Elaine married her “Mr. Handsome” in 1990, and they were very happy together. Elaine was a hard worker. Some of her workplaces included Love’s, Wal-Mart, Muskogee Regional Hospital and Connors State College. Elaine enjoyed working cows and life on the farm. She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Blackwell. She loved reading, working puzzles, the color purple, butterflies and making people feel special. She sent a card, message or gift on every birthday or holiday. Elaine always greeted you with a smile and gave the best hugs.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Randy Lietch; her father, Charles Sexton; special family friends, Millard and Mary Kelley; and her sister, Charla Hertz.

Viewing was held at Roberts and Son Funeral Home in Blackwell from 1 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020, and at Mallory Chapel in Porum from 2 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 27 at Pioneer Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Brian Snow and Tommy Joe Hertz officiating. Interment will follow at Coleman Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Joe Hertz, James Hertz, Tyler Olson, Charles Arteaga, Brian Arteaga and Cody Barnes.

Honorary pallbearers will be  David Hertz, Tom Hertz, Jose Arteaga, Caleb Peterson, Roger Kelley and Dennis Kelley.
