Edna Brown

Edna Fay Brown, 95, passed away Monday, Feb. 13, 2017, in Stigler. Edna Fay was born Oct. 8, 1921, in Red Hill to Horace H. and Lizzie (Shoopman) Smith.
She was married to Hersel O. Brown for over 70 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Lawson Smith, Robert Smith, Karl Smith and Homer Smith; and sister and brother-in-law, Nellie and Charlie Turrentine.
She is survived by one son, Col. Ray Lee Brown and wife, Dr. Randy Brown, of Edmond; one grandson and wife, Ryan L. and Vivian Brown of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and one great-granddaughter, Olivia Brown; brother-in-law, Kenneth Brown and wife, Coweta of Stigler; sister-in-law, Louise Smith of Stigler; nephews, Jeff Brown, James W. Smith and wife, Bonnie of Stigler, James Ray Turrentine and wife, Regina of Ardmore, and Joe Paul Smith and wife, Alice of Poteau; nieces, Dana Davis and husband, Ray and Anne Peck of Stigler; special friend and caretaker, Sonya Bryant of Stigler; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 17 at Main Street Baptist Church in Stigler with the Rev. Jeff Berger officiating. Burial will follow at Stigler City Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Stigler.
Viewing will be Wednesday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Thursday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday 8 a.m to 12 p.m.
Pallbearers are to be determined.
