Dottie Miller

Dottie Lou (Buckner) Miller, 80, of Oklahoma City passed away Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016.
She was born June 19, 1936, to Joe Walter Buckner and Sylvia (Cleveland) Buckner, in Stigler.
A longtime member of Capitol Hill Full Gospel Church in Moore, Dottie worked at the Department of Human Services, where she retired as a programs assistant administrator after 28 years of service.
She was involved in the Red Hat Society and the church’s prison ministry, where she sent birthday cards to prisoners.
She crocheted potholders as Christmas gifts to the other Red Hat Society ladies. Dottie read a lot and finished thousands of books. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and loved to watch football, especially OU and the Dallas Cowboys!
Dottie is survived by two sons, Greg Perrymore and wife Diane, and Mark Perrymore and wife Jackie; two stepsons, Ricky Miller and wife Carolyn, and Ronnie Miller; eight grandchildren, Trevor Perrymore and wife Amanda, Dawn Mason, Kerry Tinsley and husband Kendall, Jamie Morris and husband Jonathan, Brett Miller and wife Edda, Sean Thompson and wife Stephanie, Chelsey Willhite and husband Noah and Macey Perrymore; 10 great-grandchildren, Amanda Myers, Tanner Myers, Lucas Perrymore, Ryan Kelley, Ethan Tinsley, Ryan Morris, Isaac Morris, Bailey Miller, Keegan Willhite and Landen Willhite; a brother, Bob Buckner and wife Barbie; and many other friends and loving members of the family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Sylvia Buckner; husband, Herman Miller; infant son, Jack Perrymore; granddaughter, Kristen Perrymore; and a brother, Leon Buckner.
Funeral services for Dottie were held Nov. 22 at Capitol Hill Full Gospel Church in Moore, with interment following at Hoyt Cemetery in Hoyt. Services were under the direction of the John M. Ireland and Son Funeral Home and Chapel of Moore.
