Delois Scroggins

Delois Scroggins, 70, of Stigler, passed away Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018, at the Haskell County Community Hospital in Stigler. She was born Nov. 25, 1948, in Keota to Jim Bill and Morine (Ward) Patton. She grew up in Keota, where she received her education and graduated. Delois married Ron Scroggins on Sept. 29, 1990, and they made their home in Stigler.

Delois loved playing softball tournaments. She loved watching the kids and grandchildren play sports. She loved cooking and baking for her family and family gatherings.

Delois is survived by her husband of 28 years, Ron Scroggins of the home; her son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Melanie McClary of Stigler; her daughter, Dana McClary of Tulsa; four grandchildren and spouses, Britnee Rhea and Chuck Blankenship, Hunter Ray and Toni McClary, Lake Christian McClary and Ridge Landon McClary; four great-grandchildren, Chandler Grace, Kynli Mae, Raylynn Jo and MacKenna Rose, as well as a great-grandson on the way, Beckett James; two sisters, Jeannie and Russ Kimbro of Muskogee and Jane Doss of Keota; four brothers and spouses, Carl and Sharon Patton of Coweta, Bobby and Deanna Patton of Keota, Darrell and Melody Patton of Whitefield and Doyle and Crystal Patton of Keota; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Delois was preceded in death by her parents, Jim Bill and Morine Patton and a brother Ricky Patton.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018, at Star Missionary Baptist Church in Keota with the Rev. Larry Harris and the Rev. Tommie Parker officiating. Eulogist will be the Rev. Don McAlvain.

Burial will follow at Stigler Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
