David Clay

David Dean Clay of Stigler was born Aug. 13, 1949, in Fort Smith, Ark., to G.A. and Irene (Holland) Clay and passed away Jan. 21, 2017, in Tulsa at the age of 67.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Clay of the home, three daughters, Shawna Ann and Jonathan Clark of Johnson City, Tenn., Holly Armanda and Daniel Clay-Buck of Tulsa, and Jaclyn Dean and Wes Carry of Keota; one sister, Judith Ann Clay of Stigler; one brother, Tony Clay of Salem, S.C.; six grandchildren, Alei, Jordan, Tanner, Ava, Ivy, and Gibson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and many honorary daughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, G.A. and Irene (Holland) Clay; and one sister, Isla Rhae Clay.
Clay was a member of the Stigler Masonic Lodge #121 and Eastern Star #16. He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Stigler. He worked as a furniture designer at Rosewood Industry.
A Celebration of Life Service was held Jan. 24 at First Methodist Church with the Rev. Don McAlvain officiating.
Burial followed at Stigler City Cemetery under the direction of the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Stigler.
Honorary pallbearers were Billy Cox, James Love, Sam Box, Mark McCurry and his Masonic brothers around the world.
