Dave Oetting

Dave Melvin Oetting, of Stigler, was born June 20, 1944, in Merriam, Kan., to Charles and Dorothy (Pitts) Oetting. He passed away Nov. 10, 2016, in Stigler, at the age of 72.
He is survived by wife, Carolyn (Miller) Oetting of the home; four daughters, Christi Jones and Greg Jones of Stigler, Heather Gorman and husband Linton of Stigler, Mattie Oetting of the home, Ashley Ray of Kansas; four sons, Brian Oetting and wife Tabetha of Du Quoin, Ill., Travis Oetting of Tucson, Ariz., Charles Oetting of Stigler, Mike Turner and wife Annette of Spiro; three sisters, Kay Stevenson and husband Troy of Tucson, Ariz., Viola Oetting of Oregon, Tina Ritter of Texas; two brothers, Terry Oetting and wife Julie of Tucson, Ariz., Bill Oetting and wife Pat of Tucson, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren, Dusty, Ezra, Dylan, Bryer, Dawson, Linton, Jayce, Payton, Hudson, Zac, Kenzie and Keelie; one great granddaughter, Violet.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorothy Oetting; and two siblings, Delbert Calvert and Bonnie Lee.
Dave served in the  Army and was a retired truck driver.
Services were held Nov. 14 at River of Life Church with the Rev. Jack Sloan and the Rev. Linton Gorman officiating.
Burial followed at Stigler City Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory of Stigler.
Pallbearers were Rick Bumpers, James Collins, Dathan Martin, Bobby Bond, Jeremiah Bond and Lyle Hess. Honorary pallbearers were grandchildren.
