Darrel Kinyon

Darrel Henry Kinyon of McAlester was born Sept. 21, 1933, in Kensington, Kan. to John Henry and Bernice (Thieler) Kinyon. He passed away on March 9, 2018, in McAlester at the age of 84.
He is survived by his wife, Vonzil Kinyon of the home; five sons, Michael Kinyon and wife, Holly, of Peoria, Ariz., Kenneth Kinyon of Wichita, Kan., Jerry Kinyon and wife, Sally, of Hutchison, Kan., Johnny Roberts of Blocker, Mac Roberts of Inola; three daughters, Marcia Kinyon of Hutchison, Kan. Patti Jo Burge of Blocker, Vicki Lynn Pippin and husband, Les, of Tulsa; three sisters, Elaine Morgan of Agra, Kan., Ethel Halbert and husband, Howard, of Denver, Colo., Evelyn Stones and husband, Lynn, of Smith Center, Kan.; one brother, Doran Kinyon and wife, Becky, of Garden City, Kan.; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Darrel was preceded in death by one brother, Dale Kinyon; one brother-in-law, Harlan Morgan; one daughter-in-law, Kayla Roberts; and his parents.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at West Liberty Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Tony Randall officiating. Burial followed at West Liberty Cemetery.
Quinton viewing was Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Quinton. Military honors were provided by Stigler VFW Post #4446.
Services were entrusted to Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Stigler.
