Funeral service for Dail Harmon Mott, 81 of Sallisaw, was at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Vian. Burial followed at Iron Bridge Cemetery in Keota, under the direction of Agent Mallory-Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on Oct. 11, 1938, in Stoney Point, to Gaitha (Webb) Mott and Joseph Mott and passed away on May 23, 2020, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was married to Lola “Sue” Short on June 4, 1958, in Stigler. Mr. Mott was manager for MFA Propane and inspector for Roy Darcy. He was a member and deacon of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors are wife, Sue of the home; daughter, Kimberly Zuendel of Sallisaw; son, Christopher Mott of Pocola; daughter in law, Christina Mott of Fort Smith, Ark; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Dewey Mott and Betty of Hindsville, Ark. and numerous other relatives, church family and friends.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Larry and Gary Mott, his parents, two sisters, Wilma Birchfield and Mildred Bailey and five brothers, Melburn, Argust, R.J., Benjamin, and Dewayne Mott.

Active pallbearers were Wes Lashley, Regan Freeman, Tommy Coleman, Jay Alred, Cody Smith, Ben Spyres and David Short.
