Claylon ‘Tib’ Carry

Claylon “Tib” Carry, 77, of Stigler, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018, at Saint Francis Hospital in Muskogee. He was born Oct. 28, 1940, in Cass to Sherman and Viola (Haulk) Carry.
Tib grew up in the Cass area, where he went to school. He worked for Lee Tyler Farms for many years. He worked at Hammons Sheet Metal for many years and retired from Haskell County. He loved hunting and playing dominos.
Tib is survived by his wife, Connie Carry of Gore; his three daughters, Brenda Hediger of Webbers Fall, Gayla Howard of Stigler, Tina Spears of Inola; his son, Steve Carry of Keota; his three sisters, Alice Cole, Elsie Crase, Joann Fitzer; four grandchildren, Luke Spears, Blake Spears, Amanda Spears, Cory Hediger; one great-grandchild, Cali Jo Hediger; numerous nieces and nephews.
Tib was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Viola Carry; three sisters, Elva Baker, Ethel Neldon, Lavern Eades; three brothers, Denver, Son and Donald Carry.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Keota Victory Worship Center with the Rev. Heath Cole officiating. Eulogist will be the Rev. Ron Cole. Graveside will be by the Rev. Jack Sloan. Pallbearers include Marvin Nolen, Mike Scantlin, John Gilstrap, Cory Hediger, Jerry Lee and Luke Spears. Honorary pallbearers include Mike Dixon, Claylon Carry and Dearl Gene Blaylock.
Burial will follow to Garland Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
