Cindy Christenberry

Cindy Galaviz Christenberry of Stigler was born Nov. 3, 1955, in Tulare, Calif., to Joe and Jimmy Louise (Walton) Galaviz. She passed away on July 21, 2018, in Muskogee at the age of 62.

She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Cleve Christenberry of Claremore; four daughters, Christy Dole Perdue of Stigler, Jami Dole and husband, Cade, of Stigler, Jennifer Oldham and husband, James, of Stigler, Jessica Cook and husband, Chris Mayhall, of Stigler; special family friend, Tiffany Vail; four step-sons, Richard Christenberry of Claremore, Clevey Christenberry and wife, Sam, of Claremore, Nate Christenberry of Claremore, John Christenberry of Claremore; two brothers, Robert Galaviz and Walter Lee Walton; nieces and nephews, Ty Galaviz, Staff Sgt. Rasen Galaviz, Sam Galaviz and wife, Jamie, of Oregon, Dan Galaviz and wife, Shawna, of Arizona, John Galaviz of Oregon; “twin” cousin, Vicki Copeman and husband, Mike; numerous other cousins, aunts and uncles in Oklahoma and California; 17 grandchildren, Sierra and Xander Perdue, Savannah and Justah Seymour, Dylan Lawson, Mystri, Rhiannon and Aja Oldham, Caden and Erin Cook, Cody Mayhall, Elijah and Noah Christenberry, Natalie Christenberry, Cameron Christenberry, Connor Christenberry, Raylin Christenberry; great-grandson, Langston Lawson; uncle, Robert and wife, Wanda, of California; aunt, Alice Kelly of Oregon.

Cindy was preceded in death by her twin brother, Johnny Galaviz; an infant sister; twin brothers, Dan and Sam; mother, Jimmy Louise (Walton) Galaviz; father, Joe Galaviz; uncle, Vernon Walton; aunts, Ethel Wallen, Ruby Buffington, Loweta Walton, Georgia Brooks; sisters-in-law, Aliene Rhinehart and Sherry Christenberry; two sons-in-law, Lance Kelly Lawson and Carl Christopher Cook.

She served as city clerk and worked at the water department in Keota for 14 years. She worked in home health and was a cashier at Walmart.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at Antioch Baptist Church in Stigler with Bro. Tommie Parker and Bro. Larry Kerns officiating.

Burial will follow at Iron Bridge Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chauncey Walton, Dan Galaviz, Chris Mayhall, James Oldham, Caden Cook, Xander Perdue and Dylan Lawson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cade Hess, Xander Perdue, Justah Seymour, Cody Mayhall, Chuck Buffington, Dee Frizzell, Mike Copeman and Caleb Copeman.

Viewing was Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. with family visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Stigler.
