Christie Doss

Christie Lynn (Owens) Doss was born in Stigler on Sept. 30, 1977, to Lloyd and Elsie (Winklepleck) Owens. She passed away in Fort Smith, Ark. on July 11, 2019, at the age of 41.

She is survived by her husband, Bradley, of the home; one son, Trevor Doss of the home; mother-in-law, Jane Doss of Keota; sister-in-law, Tamra Hill and husband, Gary, of Keota; three sisters, Brenda Fetters and husband, James, of Spiro, Janie Fetters and husband, Billy, of Spiro and Debra Watts and husband, Jimmy, of Pocola; five brothers, Bobby Owens and wife, Michele, of Spiro, Randy Owens and wife, Cheryl, of Stigler, Paul Owens of Keota, Doug Owens of Spiro, David Owens and wife, Lacie, of Keota and Mark Owens and wife, Kelli, of Spiro and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Christie was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Elsie Owens; her daughter, Trista Lynn Doss; her brother Lloyd Lee Owens and her father-in-law, Glyn Neal Doss.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 15, 2019, at Unity Baptist Church in Keota with the Rev. Scott Welch and Bro. Tommie Parker officiating.

Interment followed at Iron Bridge Cemetery in Keota under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.

Viewing was at Mallory Chapel in Keota from 1 to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday and from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday.

Pallbearers were Gunner Hill, Blake Owens, Cullin Watts, Carver Watts, Andy Watts and Dylan Doss.

Honorary pallbearers were the Class of 1996, Jim Watts, Kelsey Owens, Ashleigh Owens and Brylie Hill.
