Chris Fielden Shrum, 58, of Porum, passed away Monday, April 6, 2020, at St. Francis Hospital in Muskogee. He was born May 15, 1961, in Stigler, to Jerry and Margaret (Stewart) Shrum. He grew up in Porum where he was a graduate of the Class of 1979. He began a career as a pipeliner working all over the country. He was a bulldogger competing in many rodeos. Chris married the young lady that stole his heart, Debroah Jones on March 7, 1992, in Harrison, Ark. and they made their home in Porum. He worked for Muskogee County District 2 for several years before returning to pipelining. He also operated his fence building company. He loved working and raising his cattle, loved watching Julana play ball, loved hunting and fishing.

Chris is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 28 years, Deborah Shrum, of the home; his daughter, Julana Shrum of Porum; his brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Judy Shrum of Porum; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Tammy Lindsey of Grand Junction, Colo., Susie and Ronnie White of Braggs and his mother, Margaret Mahan, of Braggs.

Chris is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Shrum in 2013.

Graveside services were at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2020, at Fields Cemetery with Pastor Wayne Lindsey officiating. Pallbearers included Paul Shrum, Steven Jones, John Williams, Russll Kenrick, Clark Kendrick, John Mefford, Ronnie Peevyhouse, Ronnie Waters, Tristen Cowett and  Kevin Crouch.

Burial followed immediately in Fields Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
