Chester Edward Lowe

Chester Edward Lowe was born in Keota, on Jan. 30, 1937, to Dalton “Doc” and Eathiel (Thomas) Lowe. He passed away on Jan. 1, 2020, in Tulsa at the age of 82.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma (of 55 years) of the home; four children, Marcia Walton and husband, Greg, of Keota, Cindy Francisco of Springdale, Ark., Mike Sutter and wife, Lori, of Keota and Bryan Lowe of Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Candice Dominguez of Keota, Mitch Sutter of Keota, Nick Parker of Keota, Mandy Ward and husband, Jason, of McCurtain, Jenna Francisco of Tulsa, Garrett Day of Weatherford, and Tyler Morgan of Bartlesville; great-grandchildren, Makadyn Dominguez, Blayklee Ward, Braylon Sutter, Sawyer Ward and Garrett Parker; one brother, Luther Lowe of Keota; one sister, Edna Lou Peters of Van Buren, Ark., and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Chester was preceded in death by his parents, Doc and Eathiel Lowe; his brothers, Dempsey and L.B. Lowe; his sisters, Lora Tabor and Priscilla Frix; his grandmother, Dutch Thomas; and his great-grandson, Maddox Sutter.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4 at Victory Worship Center in Keota with the Rev. Rick Stout, Bro Tommie Parker and the Rev. Heath Cole officiating. Interment followed at Keota City Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.

Viewing was from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday at Mallory Chapel in Keota.

Pallbearers were Rocky Davis, Jimmy Thomas,  Earl Jess Thomas, Mark Davis, Donny Lowe and George Dominguez.

Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Hale, Charles Hare, Howard Short, Lester Moore, Brandon Mooneyham and Robert Hume.
