Carol Johnson

Carol Joan Johnson, 76, lifelong Enterprise area resident, died Friday, November 12, 2021 at McAlester, Oklahoma. She was born January 31, 1945 at Quinton to J.B. Jr. and Flossie (Turner) Christy. She was married to Willard (Junior) Johnson on June 21, 1961 at Enterprise. Carol was a longtime cook at Quinton Public Schools. She was accomplished in the kitchen and loved cooking for her family, her church and as well as the school. She was an active member of the Choctaw Community Center and West Liberty Baptist Church. Carol adored playing with and spending time with her grandchildren. 

She is survived by her husband of 60 plus years, Willard (Junior) Johnson; three sons, Vencent Johnson of Ada, David Johnson and wife Sherry of Owasso, Jonathan Johnson and wife Lana of Broken Arrow; 12 grandchildren, Matthew, Jesse, Lauren, Nicole, Ashley, Jeremy, Kirstin, Sage, Madison and Hannah, Lance, and Tarin; 22 great grandchildren, Addison, Harley, Paisley, Emma, Daithon, Driston, Diesel, Daxon, Holden, Juliet, Oliver, Jordan, Wyatt, Keely, Lucy and Felicity, Roper, Laydann, Chanley, Chloe, Brycen, and Chacen; one sister, Pat Carpenter of Tulsa; one brother, Jack Christy of Sicily, Italy. She is preceded in death by her parents, J.B. and Flossie Christy; her step-father, George Carter; one brother, Joshua Bush Christy Jr.; one sister, Janice Wann. 

Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at West Liberty Baptist Church with Reverend Josh Cate officiating. 

Pallbearers were Vencent, David, Jonathan, Matthew and Jesse Johnson, Brenden Roush. 

Honorary pallbearers were Jeremy Hodges and Lance Ogle. Burial followed at Enterprise Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
