Carl Johnson

Carl Johnson was born May 2, 1947 in Keota to Dan and Sallie (Buckner) Johnson. He passed away on Dec. 27, 2017, in Stigler.
He is survived by his wife, Nora Johnson of the home; daughters Carla Valenzuela of Keota, and Jessica Smith and husband, Troy, of Arlington, Texas; son: Dearl Johnson and wife, Rachel, of Keota; sisters Betty White of Stigler, Jackie Massey and companion, Calvin Carry, of Keota, Joyce Carry and husband, Squeakie, of Keota, brothers: Danny Johnson and wife, Charlotte, of Keota, Ray Johnson and wife Tammie of Keota; grandchildren Samantha and husband, Jerry, of Keota, Sabrina Lawson and husband, Tristen, of Keota, Ashley Doss and husband, Dylan of Keota, Cassie Francis of Talihina, Cole Wise and Cloe Wise of Keota, Amber and Hailey Johnson of the home; great-grandchildren Diesel, Mila, Bexlee, Madden, Bryce, Lincoln and Shady.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Sallie Johnson; sister Mamie Johnson; brother, Doil Johnson; infant sister and niece, Laraine Hearton.
Carl was a truck driver,  farmer and Army veteran who served during Vietnam conflict.
The funeral service was at 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at Unity Baptist Church in Keota with the Rev. Scott Welch and the Rev. Brandon Mooneyham officiating.
Burial followed at Old Cache Cemetery in Keota.
Viewing was Dec. 28 and 29 at Keota Chapel in Keota.
Active pallbearers were Jerry Logan, Dylan Doss, Tristen Lawson, Russell Valenzuela, Roger Greenmyer and Squeakie Carry.
Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Short, Roger Bloxham, Calvin Carry, Tommie Joe Roberson and George Bruner.
Arrangements were entrusted to Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Stigler.
