Calvin Carry, 80, of Keota, passed away Thursday, Dec. 12, 2019, in Sequoyah Manor LLC in Sallisaw.

 He was born July 10, 1939, in Keota to Lois and Pearl (Robinson) Carry. He grew up at Cass where he was educated. Calvin started working as a farm worker, worked on the wheat harvest, worked in the oilfield and retired after a long career as a pole barn builder. He loved gardening and giving all his harvest away and enjoyed visiting with family and friends.

Calvin is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, Dwight and Tina Carey of Keota and Keith and Tiffany Smith of Flower Hill; his three daughters and a son-in-law, Lynn Carey and Carman Dunnam of Spiro, Anna and Charles Baker of Lawton and Annie Bird of Lawton; nine grandchildren, David and Desiree, Tara, Rainy and Jared, Noah, Ambrosia, Alexis, Nicole, Corey and Charlyanna; seven great-grandchildren, Hailee, Jade, Brylar, Jacklyn, Bryggs, Madilyn and Clay; a sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Roger Edwards of Tamaha; two brothers and two sisters-in-laws, Dannie Carry of Keota, Bobby and Delois Carry of Spiro and Willma Carry of Keota and a host of nieces and nephews.

Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, Lois and Pearl Carry; two wives, Patricia Carry and Jackie Massey; four brothers, Arthur, Henry, Jackie, and Ricky Carry; and four sisters, Elaine Holt, Annie Carry, Jeannie Roland and Velda Butler.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019, at Victory Worship Center in Keota with the Rev. Tommy Brown officiating. Eulogy was by the Rev. Heath Cole. Pallbearers included Dow Maxwell, Dannie Carry, Roger Edwards, David Carey, Mark Johnson and Squeaky Carry. Honorary pallbearers included Tammy Edwards, Noah Smith, Bobby Carry, Corey Washington Jr., Ambrosia Wilkett, Nicole Baker and Charlyanna Baker.

Burial followed in Garland Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
