Burton Bailey Sr.

Burton Byrd Earl Bailey Sr., of Stigler was born Aug. 30, 1950, in Gay Mills, Wis., to Maurice Eugene and Elizabeth Mary (Watson) Bailey and passed away April 23, 2017, in Stigler at the age of 66.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Bailey of the home; three daughters, Brenda Weber and husband, Ron of Montana, Darlene Favela of Stigler, and Rose Hale and husband, Winston of Stigler; five sons, Jimmy Walker and wife, Jeannie of Whitefield, Billy Walker and wife, Liz of Missouri, John Walker and wife, Nancy of South Carolina, Myron Clay Walker and wife, Winnie of Stigler, and Burton Bailey, Jr. of Missouri; two sisters, Betty Payne and Burnice of Texas, Audrey Bailey of Texas; and 36 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Beth Bailey; son, David Walker; granddaughter, Maria Lucero; two sisters, Barbara Koch and Virginia Garrison; and brother, Maurice Bailey.
He was a fanatic of Star Wars and Star Trek memorabilia. He had a vast collection of both. He enjoyed his family gatherings, especially with the children. He loved to go camping, fishing, and being in the outdoors.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 27 at the Masonic Lodge with Vernon Stone officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Stigler.
