Brenda Kaye Cooper

Brenda Kaye Cooper, 67, of Fort Gibson was born Nov. 25, 1949, in Porum, the daughter of Plunkett and Dicie (Jackson) Lynn, and died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, in Fort Gibson.
Brenda had a strong and grounded faith, having seen Jesus in the clouds when she was nine years of age. Family was important to her and she loved being a mama and a grandma. Favorite pastimes were garage sales and shopping. Holidays were her favorite times of the year, especially Christmas. Patriotic was another word that described Brenda and she was proud of the fact that John had served his country in the military. She attended Apostolic Truth Tabernacle in Fort Gibson.
Survivors include her husband, John, of the home; children, John S. Cooper II, William and Kirstie Cooper, all of Fort Gibson, Melanie and Chris Broyles, Greg Cooper of the home; grandchildren, Dakota Cooper of Muskogee, Kaley, Kara, Noah and Lincoln Broyles, Blain Cooper, Steven Cooper, Cydnee Lindley, Brandon Lewis; siblings, Dearl and Glenda Lynn of Porum, June Gullett of Warner; numerous nieces, nephews and other family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda Faye Broyles; nieces, Tonya Johnson and Patsy Campbell.
Services for Brenda were at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Service Chapel in Fort Gibson with Pastor Carolyn Spencer officiating.
Burial followed at Citizens Cemetery.
