Braden Ballard

Braden Scott Ballard was born in Tulsa, on July 24, 1997, to Dustin and Heather (Gee) Ballard. He passed away in Talihina, on Jan. 27, 2020, at the age of 22.

He is survived by his parents, Dustin and Tamra Ballard, of the home; his fiancée, Kaityn Strain, of the home; his son, Latcham Ballard, of the home; his paternal grandmother, Gwen Hendrix and special friend, David Owen, of Stigler; his paternal grandfather, Terry Ballard of Stigler; his maternal grandmother, Carol Bentley of Tulsa; his paternal great-grandparents, Bill and Dorothy Mayberry of Whitefield; his grandparents, Rock and Sue Humphrey of Stigler and Bruce Williams and Gaila Forrest of Stigler; his uncle, John Gee and wife, Debbie, of Tulsa; his cousins, Dryden, Brooks and Dakota Gee of Tulsa, Laura Beth Humphrey of Stigler, Kaylyn Connerty of Stigler, Harmony Hicks and Alexa Hicks of Stigler, Brett Williams of Weatherford, Texas, Brayden Williams of Stillwater and numerous aunts, uncles and friends.

Braden was preceded in death by his mother, Heather (Gee) Ballard; maternal grandfather, Bob Gee; paternal great-grandfather, George Hendrix; cousin, Erin Hendrix; great-grandparents, Houston and Marie Ballard; and great-great-grandmother, Leona Patton.

He enjoyed music, video games, working on trucks--eighteen wheelers, especially Peterbilts, cooking and grilling, and spending time with family.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 31, 2020, at Stigler First Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommie Parker and Kevin Hendrix officiating. Interment followed at Stigler City Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.

Pallbearers were Colton Edwards, Hunter Andrew,  Aaron Boren, Scott Lasiter, Jim Bob Cross and Jeff Ballard.

Honorary pallbearers were David Huggins, Logan Satterfield, Tim Turner, Blake Wright, Brian Henderson and Jason “Wally” Lovell.
